Who is The Plan For?
Is there a target age for The Insights into Action Workbook?
1
Short answer: If you're at a place in your life when you are ready to better understand your superpowers and actively take steps to nurture them, The Plan is for you! Just be prepared for a lot of cringe millennial references along the way!
Long answer: I am an elder millennial. I pretty exclusively speak millennial. I relate very heavily to my generational experience. I LONG to live in precedented times... just once, for old time's sake.
The current stage of life that most millennials (30-45) is the one that usually focuses on career advancement, dating/committing to a partner and deciding whether to start a family. Of course this exact path is also the insidious "mold" the entire Plan is built to rail against.
The Workbook exercises ultimately focus on what finding fulfillment means in your life, and what that might look like in your current circumstances. These are the sorts of things you can't really know about yourself until you've lived enough life that you have space for reflection, but not so much life that you have no room to maneuver.
With that said, multiple men and women in their 60s and 70s have gotten a lot out of the reflection the Workbook encourages.
Is The Plan only for women?
2
The short answer: I am honored to be joined on this journey by anyone who shares the values I outline, and The Plan is designed to be an easy on ramp for those who are newer to the process of deconstructing white supremacy and patriarchy.
The long answer: I am a white American cis woman in the midst of unpacking white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism, while simultaneously reckoning with the reality that I have been both harmed by, and benefitting from them for 40 years. That journey is what has brought me to creating The Plan in the first place.
I am not so far along in my journey that I have lost sight of the vulnerability this work requires, and I strive to foster an entry level space where imperfect progress is celebrated, and where we can make mistakes without fear of rejection or ridicule.
Maya Angelou said, “once you know better, do better,” and that’s the spirit carried by The Plan.
I am eager to work with anyone who shares the same goals of unpacking and rejecting these narratives together.
Do I already need to know astrology to benefit from a workbook?
3
Short answer: Other than accurate birth information, zero baseline knowledge is necessary to benefit from what The Plan offers.
Long answer: I am still a student. This is not a birth chart reading. The service I am providing is translation and implementation of chart interpretations. If you don’t know anything about astrology, you won’t have any trouble going through your workbook.
If you already have an advanced understanding of birth charts and astrology, you may find the workbook reductive, as the whole point is to deliver the "what" and "how" without the "why" (because that’s the content overload part).
But even so, the gap in the market remains: there are very few tools that bridge the gap between astrological interpretation and day to day integration. You may find the workbook helps you go deeper with your own chart exploration.
Can you make a Plan for my child?
4
Short answer:I look forward to adding a child-focused offering once I am versed in the ethical implications and best practices of working with children's charts.
Long answer: I think your child's chart can reveal some really important insight into the ways they interact with and approach the world. Similar to the theory behind Montessori schools, if you know the basic emotional and rational instincts of your child's personality, you can focus on helping them navigate the world from their point of view, rather than imposing one that might be completely against their instinctual nature.
However, there are risks that come with assigning too much weight to the birth chart's influence on a developing child, and it does not excuse your personal responsibility as a parent. I am very interested in doing further research to understand the best practices in this area, and want to make sure I am further along in my own education, because the "why" will matter more in this situation.
Is this a coaching service?
5
Short answer: In the words of Taylor Swift: “never take advice from someone who’s falling apart.” I consider myself a peer - your 5th grade buddy who can show you around school, but is not trusted with the keys. Sometimes all you need is a conversation with a peer to gain clarity, and sometimes you need to talk to a grownup.
Long answer: No two people have the same chart, and no two people have the same lived experience. My hope is that the "translation service" provided by The Plan can give you a new perspective on your authentic self that can potentially be applied to these areas of your life and used to guide further conversation with a therapist, in your relationship, or with a coach.
What you do with The Plan is, respectfully, none of my business. I am happy to be your partner on this journey where I can be, but at the end of the day, your birth chart isn't a crystal ball, and I am not a psychic. Meaningful change has to be made by you.
